Welcome to my first ever blog written for Nelson Thornes!
My blog will be focused mainly around the topic of Motorsport which is both my passion and my career in education.
Being my first blog, you may wish to know a little more about me; I am the Programme Manager of Motorsport Engineering at Bridgwater College. We run a Foundation Degree in association with Oxford Brookes University. To see what we do, follow us on Facebook by searching for Bridgwater College Motorsport. I also have been involved in Motorsport from a young age and am currently in the process of writing my first book with NT: Fundamentals of Motorsport Engineering. It’s a comprehensive overview of the basics of motorsports from both a technical perspective and that of the events themselves. Watch out for its publication in April 2013!
With National Motorsport Week coming up on 30th June, we can look forward to a variety of activities, open days and initiatives being offered by various motor clubs and organisations. Of course, the week begins with the famous Goodwood Festival and ends with the Silverstone Grand Prix. Visit www.nationalmotorsportweek.co.uk for more information on how to get involved in the week.
I’m looking forward to writing my future blogs where I will be discussing new technology, events and changes to Motorsport – be it regulations, legislation and of course, education.
Thanks for reading!
Josh
