Welcome to our languages blog

This blog is by Liz Black with the help of the secondary languages team at Oxford University Press.

Liz Black is a PGCE tutor at York University and a freelance author and consultant. She has taught languages for over 30 years to students of all ages and for this reason has a particular interest in ensuring effective linguistic progression. During the past 10 years she has worked as a cross-phase Advanced Skills Teacher, delivering training and working as a CILT Regional Trainer and Regional Subject Adviser. She is on the National Executive Council of ALL and is an active member of the Primary Steering Group.

Oxford University Press publishes a wealth of secondary language resources that fit the needs of all schools. You can find out more about them here.

We hope that this blog will give us the opportunity to support teachers and learners of languages with extra resources, and provide a sense of community around a subject that we share a strong passion for. If you have an interest in languages, this is the place for you!
